Visit of Kernave. Declared Humanity Patrimony by UNESCO, Kernave is one of the oldest human’s creations in Baltic area because of its origins go back to more than 10.000 years. This beautiful place is located on the Neris river banks. Around these mysterious hills in sugarloaf form, Lithuanians founded their first capital that was destroyed by the invading troops of the Order of the Teutonic horsemen in 1390. Recent archaeological excavations have given back its past splendour to the place. We will be able to admire the rest of old churches, chapels that are excellent example of popular architecture and church constructed in the 19th century that commemorates 600 anniversary of the Lithuania conversion to Christianity.
